News for Youth, Youth Leaders & Parents
Last semester we went through a sermon series on discipleship. We have been learning about what discipleship is, biblical examples of this, and what it practically looks like to be discipled.
All of this is leading up to discipleship groups(d-groups for short)starting on January 21st. These would be on Sunday nights around 5 in groups of 3-5 students and 1 adult.
If students are interested in this, they MUST sign up so we are able to look for adults to disciple them. It is not something where you just show up on Sunday night and join a random group. We will continue taking sign ups anytime as they come through January and hope we will see tremendous growth through these groups!
To Love the Lord, Love Each Other, and Serve with Urgency
Matthew 22:36-37, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
